We all want to be the best at something. We all long to be the bravest person in the world.
I want to be the best at being brave. Little did I know, it is harder than I thought.
Yet, even though it’s hard – it’s not impossible.
One thing I’ve learned is that when you’re about to do something, fear comes on even stronger, but don’t worry, you can face it. Fear has no hold on you – that’s not where you’re meant to be.
Being brave is not the absence of fear; it’s the ability to walk through it.
The number one used command by God in the Bible is “do not fear”, but have you ever thought about why that may be? God knows the tactics of the enemy; God knows the enemy want to paralyze you with fear – but God is calling you to be brave.
Often when you’re feeling fear, it’s because you’re about to do something brave. I recently just hosted a women’s conference called BRAVE. I was longing for ladies to know that their identity is to be empowered by Christ to be bold in His calling for them.
My heart is that you and I will know that we’re meant to walk thorough out fears as conquerors in Christ.
My challenge to you: do something brave today. Encourage someone, start a blog, venture out on a new adventure – the point is do something brave in the now not the later. Face your fear by walking through it and know that God has empowered you for more than you ever thought possible.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
1 Timothy 1:7 NLT
